Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Noqte Educational & Cultural Group is operated by Vafadari Utdanning, Media og Kultur. We respect your privacy and process personal information only when necessary to provide our services, communicate with you, fulfil legal obligations, and operate our website securely.

For privacy-related questions, you can contact us at info@noqte.no.

1. What information we collect

Depending on how you use our website and services, we may collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • information you provide through our contact form;
  • billing and contact information provided during course, workshop, or event registration;
  • information about your order, including the service purchased, price, payment status, and transaction details;
  • technical information necessary for the operation and security of the website, such as cookies, session information, and basic device or browser information.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the website.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and messages;
  • process registrations and purchases;
  • provide information and access relating to courses, workshops, and events;
  • send order confirmations and practical information connected to a purchase;
  • maintain accounting and transaction records;
  • prevent fraud and protect the security of our website and payment systems;
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or other third parties.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases under the GDPR:

Performance of a contract: when information is necessary to process a registration, payment, or provide a course, workshop, event, or other service you have purchased.

Legal obligation: when we are required to retain information for accounting, tax, or other legal purposes.

Legitimate interests: when necessary to respond to enquiries, maintain website security, prevent fraud, and operate our services effectively, provided that these interests do not override your rights and interests.

Consent: where consent is required, for example for optional marketing communications or non-essential cookies.

Norwegian data-protection rules require processing to have a lawful basis and to be transparent and limited to specified purposes.

4. Payments

Payments made through noqte.no are processed by third-party payment providers.

Card payments are processed through Stripe. Where available, payments may also be made through Vipps MobilePay.

Payment providers receive the information necessary to process and secure the transaction. Noqte does not store your full payment-card details.

These providers process certain information according to their own privacy policies and applicable data-protection requirements.

5. Contact forms

When you contact us through a form on noqte.no, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, subject, and message.

This information is used only to respond to your enquiry and for any necessary follow-up communication.

Form submissions may be stored securely within our WordPress website and may also be delivered to our business email account.

6. Orders and registrations

When you register for or purchase a course, workshop, event, or other service, your information is stored in our WooCommerce order system.

We use this information to administer your registration, provide the purchased service, communicate practical information, handle refunds or complaints where necessary, and maintain legally required business records.

WooCommerce provides mechanisms for managing and deleting personal data, while allowing businesses to retain information that must be kept for legal or accounting purposes.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Contact-form enquiries that do not lead to an ongoing relationship will normally be deleted when they are no longer needed.

Information forming part of accounting or transaction records may need to be retained for longer periods. Under Norwegian bookkeeping rules, important accounting documentation generally has to be retained for five years after the end of the relevant financial year.

Other information will be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer reasonably required.

8. Who we share information with

We may share personal information with service providers only where necessary to operate our services, including:

  • website hosting and email providers;
  • WordPress and WooCommerce-related services;
  • payment processors such as Stripe and Vipps MobilePay;
  • accounting or administrative service providers where necessary.

We share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

Some service providers may process information outside Norway or the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law must apply.

9. Cookies

Noqte.no may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function, including cookies related to shopping carts, checkout, payments, security, and user sessions.

Non-essential analytics or marketing cookies will only be used where permitted and, where required, after the user has given consent.

More detailed information may be provided through our cookie settings or cookie notice.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • obtain information about how we process your personal data;
  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of information where applicable;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain types of processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

These rights may be subject to legal exceptions, for example where we are required to retain transaction information for accounting purposes. Datatilsynet confirms that individuals must be informed about purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients, and their data-protection rights.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Access to customer and contact information is limited to those who need it to operate Noqte and provide its services.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, website, or legal obligations change. The current version will always be available on noqte.no.
